Why does the damp come back after painting?

Because paint is a film on the surface and the water is inside the masonry. Until the moisture path is blocked and the salt-damaged plaster is removed, any coating you put over it will blister again within a season.

What is injection grouting?

Ports are drilled into the masonry at intervals and a crystalline or polymer grout is pumped through them under pressure, so the treatment fills the voids inside the wall instead of sitting on the face of it.

How long before we can paint over the treated wall?

Fresh plaster with a waterproofing admixture needs about a week of curing before primer. We take a moisture reading and tell you when it is genuinely ready, rather than working to the painter’s diary.
