Rigid and semi-flexible cementitious waterproofing for bathrooms, water tanks, basements and internal wet areas. It is breathable, it costs less than a membrane system, and where the substrate is not going to move it is usually the sensible choice.

When is cementitious the right choice over a membrane?
Where the substrate is not going to move: bathrooms, water tanks, basements and internal wet areas. It is breathable and costs less. On a terrace that expands and contracts in the sun, a flexible membrane is the better answer.
Can it be tiled over?
Yes — that is how it is normally used. It cures to a hard surface that takes tile adhesive directly.
How many coats do you apply?
Two, applied cross-directionally so the second closes any pinholes in the first, then cured under damp hessian so it reaches full strength rather than drying out early.
